Aliv seeds also known as Garden cress seeds or Halim seeds which are tiny, nutty flavoured seeds that have been used extensively in traditional delicacies and Ayurvedic remedies. Aliv seeds is obtained from a medicinal plant which is scientifically known as Lepidium Sativum. Aliv seeds have many nutritional properties and health advantages.

These seeds are rich source of proteins, dietary fiber, iron, vitamin A, vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids and other essential nutrients and can be eaten by raw, roasting, cooking or soaking them in water.

These seeds are really helpful in regularizing the menstrual cycle as they contain compounds that are similar to estrogen, which are responsible for regulating the menstrual cycle in females. Halim Seeds Side Effects

Even though Halim seeds have several health advantages, eating them moderately is important to prevent side effects.

  • Digestive Issues: Eating too many Halim seeds might result in gas, bloating, or cramping in the stomach because they are fiber-heavy.
  • Low Blood Sugar: Blood sugar levels can be lowered by Halim seeds. If you have diabetes, make sure to check your blood sugar levels often after consuming these seeds.
